today was the second time I arrived home to find that my area rug had gotten tangled in the front door and prevented it from closing, leaving it open for a few hours. both times I’ve been really lucky that my pal is too busy napping to figure it out. I feel like a HUGE dumbass.

but there’s a part of me that knows it’s only going to get worse, so I should enjoy it while I can. I’m DREADING actual winter; I had such a hard time last year. I’m hoping that since it won’t be a surprise, I’ll do better. but I doubt it, since I’m already having to force myself outside. oh man, I’m not sure I’ll survive another winter. maybe I can invent a coat that is also an elecric blanket-only it would run on batteries. “oh, I’d love to come over but my coat’s dead, gotta get more batteries.”
